Xiaomi's 14 and 14 Pro were unveiled just some time ago. Shortly after that, rumors about the third member of the 14 series–Xiaomi 14 Ultra started sparking on the internet. Now there have been several developments regarding the phone. So, let's get into the leaks surrounding the new Xiaomi 14 Ultra, as well as its expected release date.

Xiaomi 14 Ultra Rumors:

Sony LYT 900 Sensor

As there is a partnership going on between Xiaomi and Leica, the company focused a lot on the camera part of the 13 Ultra. Things might just escalate with the 14 Ultra, as the leaks are pointing toward the device using the new 1-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, an upgrade from the IMX989 the company used in the last model. In addition, it is also rumored to be featured by f1.6-f4.0 'Stepless Variable Aperture' technology. The tipster revealed that the next smartphone will house a 75mm–120mm telephoto-periscope focal length. Moreover, the company might pair it with the Leica Summilux ƒ/1.42-4.0 lens. The other three shooters will have 50 MP sensors with a sufficiently large aperture. The telephoto camera will have 3.2X Zoom and the Periscope-telephoto lens will have 5X Zoom. Similarly, it will come with a 32 MP Front camera.

Design and Display

Xiaomi will opt for a 2K Micro Quad curved display like on Samsung's last year's top-of-the-line Galaxy S23 Ultra. This will provide a better hands-on feel, even though visually, the frame appears completely flat. The initial rumor suggested that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra would have a smaller 6.67-inch screen offering a better pixel density. However, as per recent developments, the screen size will likely remain the same as its predecessor at 6.73 inches.Another one of the obvious design features on the phone is IP68 water and dust resistance. This doesn't come as a surprise to anyone since Xiaomi managed to cram in IP68 protection in their much-affordable Redmi Note 13 Pro+.

Titanium Frame, Because Why Not?

The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will also come with a titanium frame but that will be reserved for a special edition, like on the Xiaomi 14 Pro. And the memory combo will be 16GB/1TB for this version.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

There are only two top chipsets at the moment: the Dimensity 9300 and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. And the buzz is going around about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra going for the latter. The SoC might be paired with 12 GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. What I'm sure about is that the 14 Ultra will boast the company's new HyperOS. However, the phone might cruise with ultrasonic FPS for gaming and other extensive performance duties.As per the latest leaks, the base version will accompany 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. While it will also arrive with 16/512GB and 16GB/1TB trims as well.

Battery

Leaks were going back and forth about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra featuring a 5,180 mAh or a 5,500 mAh cell. There were talks of a 5,200 mAh option as well at one time. But as per Yogesh Brar's recent 1755820318659125521 target="_blank" rel="noopener">tweet, the approximate cell capacity of the phone will be 5,300 mAh. Meanwhile, the charging on the phone appears to be fixed at 90W wired charging and up to 50W wireless charging.
