UMIDIGI: Brand Overview
UMIDIGI — formerly known as UMI — is a Chinese electronics manufacturer that offers products in a budget range. The company is based in Shenzen, Guangdong and was founded fairly recently in February 2012. Their catalogue consists of phones and tablets.
Sarathi Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. is the sole authorised distributor of UMIDIGI phones in Nepal. The brand re-entered the Nepali market in 2023 by launching three budget models of smartphones.
The UMIDIGI offerings have been updated over time, but the company has remained in the same affordable price bracket. The Chinese OEM's phones are not loaded with specs and only meet the basic requirements of regular folk.
UMIDIGI Mobile Price in Nepal 2024 [Updated]
1. UMIDIGI G1 PLUS
UMIDIGI G1 Plus is the first entry on our list. It is the most affordable UMIDIGI mobile phone you can get in Nepal. Despite its low price, this phone has decent specifications.The G1 Plus comes with a 6.52” capacitive multi-touchscreen with HD+ resolution spanning 720 x 1,600 pixels. It packs a MediaTek Helio A22 processor, coupled with 3GB RAM and 32 GB ROM. You can even extend an additional 3GB RAM virtually in this phone. It offers memory expansion of up to 1TB with its hybrid SIM tray.Powering the phone is a big 5,150 mAh battery which accepts the standard 10W of charging. On the software front, it runs on a fairly recent Android 13 while offering wireless connectivity with 4G cellular, Bluetooth 5.0, and WiFi. It also comes with a dual camera setup on the back comprising a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP auxiliary lens. Meanwhile, on the front, we have a 5MP shooter for selfies and the AI Face Unlock feature. You do not get a fingerprint reader on this phone though.

2. UMIDIGI G3
Moving on, we have the UMIDIGI G3 with overall the same specs as the UMIDIGI G1 Plus. The key differences with this phone are a different design and upgraded memory/storage combo. Specs-wise, this phone adds a fingerprint reader on the side and bumps the memory and storage to 4GB, and 64GB respectively. The virtual RAM is also upped to 4GB with this phone. In terms of design, the phone comes with a leather-like design.

3. UMIDIGI G5A
Next, we have the UMIDIGI G5A. This phone is pretty similar to our previous entry i.e. UMIDIGI G3. Here, we are getting a dual-tone design as well as five colour options. Meanwhile, the battery has been cut down to 5,000 mAh.

4. UMIDIGI G5
Lastly, we have the UMIDIGI G5 as the most expensive offering from the company. It is an upgraded version of the UMIDIGI G5A. Given that, it comes in the same design language and colour options.This phone has a 6.6” multi-capacitive touch screen on the front. It has an HD+ resolution spanning 720 x 1,612 pixels. This phone packs the same MediaTek Helio A22 as the SoC. It is assisted by an 8GB memory and 128GB storage combination. You can double the memory virtually, while you can expand the storage to 1TB. For software, we are getting Android 13.In the optics department, we are getting a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP lens on the back. On the front, we are getting an 8MP shooter for selfies and face unlock. Furthermore, we have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for additional security. The UMIDIGI G5 draws its power from a 5,150 mAh cell and accepts a regular charging speed of 10W.
