The Samsung Galaxy Fit 2 comes with a 1.1-inch AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. Samsung has opted not to include the physical button that was on the original Fit. It has been replaced with a touch button. Design-wise there is not anything fancy. Samsung has kept the Galaxy Fit 2 sleek and slim. The design is also minimalistic. The sensors are located on the back panel.Samsung has ditched the metal frame this time around. The body is now completely molded out of silicone. The fitness tracker weighs only 21 grams and is actually lighter than the band that it is succeeding. Samsung has achieved this feat while still increasing the battery life significantly.
Internal Specs
Samsung has been tight-lipped about the specs of the new Galaxy Fit 2. The company just mentioned it with some of its features during the ‘Life Unstoppable” event. According to some sources, the fitness tracker packs 2MB of RAM and 32MB of internal storage.It ships with FreeRTOS and is compatible with both Android (5.0 or more) and Apple (iOS 10.0 or more) products. Users can also choose from 70 different watch faces.
Galaxy Fit 2 can automatically detect and track different workout activities. Similarly, it can also monitor calories burned, heart rate, distance, and others. It can also identify the user’s sleeping pattern and give a Sleep Score accordingly. Users can make utilize additional features through the Samsung Health app.
Battery and Durability
Samsung is promising at least 15 days of battery backup on a single charge. The number can be extended up to 21 days based on different settings. There is no has specified IP ratings but Samsung says that the design of the Fit 2 can withstand sweat.
