Back in May, Lenovo announced the 8th Gen Lenovo Legion Slim 7 series laptops as a portable alternative to the Pro 7. The laptop is finally available for pre-order in Nepal. So, let’s get into the specs, features, official price, and availability of the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 2023 in Nepal.
The base configuration of the Legion Slim 7 (2023) comes with the RTX 4050 GPU. However, you also have the option to go with either RTX 4060 or RTX 4070 if you need more power. All these mobile GPUs bring the gains of the new Ada Lovelace architecture and are all capped at 115W TGP.
Moreover, the new Legion Slim 7 now comes with the in-house Lenovo Intelligence (LA) AI chip. The chip is said to help gamers get the best out of the gaming laptop by increasing frame rates and reducing fan noise through thermal management.
Regarding thermals, Lenovo has included a new air intake and a 90-blade fan setup. In addition, the Legion ColdFront 5.0 cooling system consists of quad copper hybrid heat pipes and a phase-change thermal compound. It works with the said AI chip for up to 48dB low-noise operation.
The Legion Slim 7 (2023) is available in a single 16” model, but you can choose from three display options. Even the most basic one features a WQXGA panel with 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms response rate, and 100% sRGB. Then there is a 3.2K panel with broader color coverage and higher brightness which can come in handy during content creation. However, for gamers, the 240Hz WUXGA option with HDR support is more appealing.

As expected, Lenovo offers the new Legion 7 in Intel and AMD variants. The Intel-powered Legion 7i (2023) packs the latest 13th Gen “Raptor Lake” mobile processors. Here, you can choose between Core i5-13500H, i7-113700H, and i9-13900H. Lenovo has not specified exact CPU options on the AMD version, but you should be able to configure it up to Ryzen 9 7940HS.The base configuration of the Legion Slim 7 (2023) comes with the RTX 4050 GPU. All this is housed inside an aluminum chassis that measures 19.9mm at its thickest part and weighs less than 2 kg. Lenovo offers the Legion Slim 7 (2023) in two color options — Glacier White and Storm Grey. Both are void of extra lighting, as the RGB show is restricted to the Legion TruStrike keyboard and the power button. The keyboard has 1.5mm key travel throughout with per-key RGB for customization. Fueling the Legion Slim 7 (2023) is a 99.99Wh battery that Lenovo says can last up to 10 hours. However, it will vary with the usage, and we can expect the laptop to last much less when gaming. The laptop ships with a 230W AC adapter. You should also be able to charge the laptop with either of the two Type-C ports, as both support Power Delivery. One of the two also has Thunderbolt 4 support on the Intel variant. In addition, the laptop features two USB-Type A ports, a 3.55mm headphone jack, and an SD card reader.
