iQOO, the Vivo subbrand, has just launched a couple of new midrange phones. Roughly five months after the launch of the iQOO Z7, the company has announced the iQOO Z8 and the iQOO Z8x in the Chinese market. So in this article, we’ll go through the specs, expected price in Nepal, and availability of the iQOO Z8.
iQOO Z8 Overview:
Display and Performance
The new iQOO Z8 boasts a 6.64-inch FHD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. Under the hood, the iQOO Z8 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, which is a 4nm chipset. It also features a VC (Vapor Chamber) liquid cooling system to dissipate heat. This has been paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Cameras
As for cameras, the iQOO Z8 sports a 64MP primary camera with OIS and an additional 2MP depth sensor at the back. On the front, there's a 16MP camera inside the hole-punch cutout for selfies and video calls.
Battery and Connectivity
Fueling the Z8 is the 5000mAh battery with 120W ultra-fast flash charging support. The phone is 5G-ready and it also supports 4G LTE, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GPS. For charging and data transfer, it comes with a USB Type-C port.
Rest of the features
iQOO is keeping its devices up-to-date in terms of software with Android 13, featuring the company's custom OriginOS 3.0 skin on top. And should the iQOO Z8 land in the international market, we expect it to boot on Funtouch OS 13 instead. For security, the phone has a side-mounted fingerprint.
