iQOO just unveiled the much anticipated Neo 9 series with
Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro alongside the
iQOO smartwatch and more. In this article, let’s take a look at the front-runner of the event, the iQOO Neo 9 Pro, its specs, features, expected price in Nepal, and availability.
iQOO Neo 9 Pro Overview:
Performance
The major highlight of the iQOO Neo 9 series is the performance. Both Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro boast flagship-grade horsepower with their SOCs. But while the Neo 9 gets last year’s Snapdragon Gen 2, its pro sibling is powered by MediaTek’s best offering: Dimensity 9300. It’s a 4nm octa-core chipset with a single prime Cortex X4 core at 3.25 GHz, 3 other Cortex X4 cores at 2.85 GHz, and 4 Cortex A720 cores at 2.0 GHz. On the GPU side, this SOC features Mali G720 Immortalis graphics with 12 EUs at up to 1.3 GHz. Complementing that, iQOO has also included its proprietary Q1 chip to boost gaming performance and run games at 144Hz with features like low latency frame insertion, superframe, and super-resolution.Moreover, you’ll also get plenty of memory- up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage to be exact. While keeping things nice and cool is a 6K four-zone vapor chamber cooling system just like that on the iQOO 12.With all that, Vivo claims that the Neo 9 Pro secures an Antutu score of over 2.2 million points (2,271,151) so you are in pretty good hands when it comes to raw power here.
Display and Design
The Neo 9 Pro sports a 6.78-inch flat 8T OLED panel from BOE that can go up to 144Hz. It has a crisp 1.5K resolution with a pixel density of 452 ppi. Besides that, the panel supports HDR+ and can display over a billion colors. The new series leaves behind the boxy camera island seen in its predecessors, instead opting for two individual roundish units. And to suit that fresh look, the device is availablein Nautical Blue, Red and White Soul (dual-tone leather back), and Fighting Black color options.
Cameras
Moving on to the cameras, the new Neo 9 Pro features a dual rear setup led by a 50MP primary (w OIS) with Sony’s IMX920 sensor which is the same primary shooter found in Vivo's X100 smartphone. Complementing that is a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide. On the front, you get a 16MP selfie cam housed in the hole punch.Battery and Extras
Fueling the gaming beast is a large 5160 mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. Extras include dual stereo speakers, IR blaster, WiFi 7, and NFC support. The phone boots on Origin OS 4 based on Android 14. iQOO Neo 9 Pro Specifications
