Infinix Mobile, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, has announced a new budget offering in the form of — Infinix Smart 8! This phone shares a lot of similarities to the Pop 8 launched by its sister company — Tecno. In this article, we will further discuss the Infinix Smart 8 along with its expected price in Nepal.
Infinix Smart 8 Overview
Display and Design
The Infinix Smart 8 is a budget smartphone that comes with a plastic body. It features a camera island on the back with three camera cutouts. It is available in four colour options altogether: Timber Black, Galaxy White, Crystal Green, and Shiny Gold.On the front, we are greeted with a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel with a centrally aligned hole-punch camera cutout. It also comes with Apple's Dynamic Island knock-off named the “Magic Ring”. The display is capable of a 90Hz refresh rate as well as 500nit peak brightness with Dark Region Enhancement (DRE) technology.
Performance
Under the hood, we have a Unisoc Tiger T606 chipset built on 12nm fabrication technology with 8 cores with a peak clock speed of 1.6 GHz. Meanwhile, the Infinix Smart 8 comes with a memory and storage combination of up to 4 GB + 128 GB.Furthermore, you get a virtual RAM extension of up to 4 GB. You can also further expand your storage via a MicroSD card, however, up to what amount has not been specified. Additionally, on the software front, it comes with XOS13 based on Android 13.
Camera and the rest
The Infinix Smart 8 comes with a dual-camera setup on the back, comprised of a 13MP primary shooter coupled with an undisclosed auxiliary unit. Similarly, we are getting an 8MP camera on the front. In the meantime, the entire system is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery. Finally, it has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a Face Fast Unlock feature for security.
The Infinix Smart 8 has been announced in Nigeria with a price tag of NGN 82,000. The device will make its way to the rest of the world in the upcoming months. If and when it makes its way here, we expect the Infinix Smart 8 price in Nepal to be NPR 16,499.
