The base variant of the series goes by the name — Infinix Hot 40i and comes with a 90Hz screen and a “Magic Ring” feature. Infinix Hot 40i Overview
Design and Display
All the Infinix Hot 40 series phones follow a similar flat design pattern with a camera island with three camera cutouts on the back. The Infinix Hot 40i is also available in four colour options: Horizon Gold, Starlit Black, Palm Blue, and Starfall Green. In the meantime, it measures 8.30 mm and weighs 190 grams.On the front, we are getting a 6.56-inch IPS a-Si LCD panel with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is also an HD+ screen with 720 x 1,612 resolution and a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz. Furthermore, it is capable of a peak brightness of 480 nits and a DCI-P3 wide colour gamut.
Performance
In terms of SoC, Infinix Hot 40i features a UNISOC T606 processor with Mali-G57 MC1 GPU. This chipset can achieve a peak clock speed of 1,600 MHz whereas the GPU clocks in at 650 MHz.The Infinix Hot 40i ships with two LPDDR4 memory options i.e. 4 GB, and 8 GB. In the meantime, you can also choose between 128 GB or 256 GB UFS storage for your phone. It allows up to 8 GB of virtual RAM extension as well as storage expansion of up to 1 TB with a MicroSD card.
The base variant of the Infinix Hot 40 series comes with a dual-camera setup on the back. The rear camera is a 50MP shooter coupled with an AI cam of unspecified resolution. Up front, we are getting a 32MP camera under the centrally aligned hole-punch cutout.Fuelling the Infinix Hot 40i is a 5,000 mAh cell with 18W fast charging capability. It supports dual SIM with 4G cellular connectivity. It offers additional wireless connectivity with dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth, as well as NFC in certain regions. At the same time, we get an earphone jack and USB Type-C for wired connections. Lastly, the Infinix Hot 40i also offers a gimmicky Magic Ring feature displaying face unlock, charging status, and voice call status.

The company has remained silent on the price point of the Infinix Hot 40i. Matter of fact, Infinix has not spoken of the price of the entire series. Whatever the price may be, we will update this article once we have more information in this regard.
