However, Huawei has beaten them all, debuting the world's first non-invasive blood sugar monitoring in its latest Watch 4 series.
What actually is Huawei's non-invasive blood sugar monitoring?
Say goodbye to the outdated method of pricking your finger to test your blood sugar levels. Surprisingly, this method is now a thing of the past. Well, is it? Yes, but only if you are from China and taking part in a joint research initiative between Huawei and a third-party medical institution. Huawei, the Chinese electronics giant, has made waves in the wearable sector with its latest Watch 4 series, which includes an exciting innovation - a pioneering blood sugar risk assessment tool. The series includes the Huawei Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro.Huawei Watch 4 is the world's first smartwatch high blood sugar risk evaluation function. This ground-breaking innovation measures blood sugar levels non-invasively, offering wearers important insights into their health. Initially, Huawei will offer the product only in China to a limited number of customers. Those taking part in a joint research initiative between Huawei and an unspecified third-party medical institution.
How does it work?
Huawei Watch 4 series does not qualify as a medical device; the blood sugar risk assessment function offers up new opportunities for health monitoring and management. The watch currently works only for Type 2 diabetics. It analyzes multiple parameters such as heart rate and pulse wave analysis to offer wearers valuable guidance on their blood sugar levels. It suggests means to improve their well-being in general, including dietary adjustments.The Huawei Watch 4 series' high blood sugar risk assessment feature provides users with a thorough examination of their blood sugar levels, dividing them into different risk levels. For example, the assessment may show a medium risk level, which could link to short-term blood sugar changes or a high diet of sugary, greasy, or fatty foods. Moreover, Users can start a fresh evaluation by hitting a button, allowing them to follow changes in their blood sugar levels over time.
This Huawei Watch 4 Pro features a titanium case measuring 48mm, a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display covered by sapphire glass.The Huawei Watch 4, in comparison, has a slightly smaller 46mm stainless steel case. Ergo, it offers users a variety of options to fit their preferences. Further, this debut raises the bar for smartwatches by combining cutting-edge technology with luxury.
