HP has announced multiple products on the first day of CES 2021. Among them is the new HP Envy 14 laptop. Even though it ranks below the premium Spectre series, the Envy series is known for its premium build quality, specs, and affordable price. The new HP Envy 14 now comes with the latest Intel Tiger Lake processors and boasts a battery life of up to 13 hours. Let’s learn more about the specs, features, expected price, and availability of HP Envy 14 in Nepal.

HP Envy 14 Overview:

Design and Display

The laptop has an aluminum body with a sandblasted anodized aluminum finish. It sports a 14” display with a WUXGA resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The display now has a taller aspect ratio of 16:10 just like the newer XPS lineup of Ultrabooks. It's a touch-enabled display with an anti-reflection coating. The display boasts 100% sRGB coverage and brightness of around 400 nits. Similarly, the bezels around the screen are slim except for the chin that also houses the HP branding. This has resulted in an 87% screen to body ratio.

Keyboard, Touchpad, and Camera

The keyboard deck has the same adonized finish as the rest of the body. It is backlit and also houses the fingerprint sensor. Similarly, HP Imagepad on the laptop comes with gesture support. The HD camera on the top bezel comes with a privacy shutter. There is HP Enhanced Lighting and AI noise removal for a better video calling experience.

Performance and Power

On to the performance, HP Envy 14 2021 is powered by the 11th-gen Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor. Sadly, there is no option for Core i7 as of now. Thanks to the Intel Boost Technology, the processor can attain a clock speed of up to 4.2GHz. On the graphics front, we have NVIDIA GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q with 4GB of GDDR6 VRAM.There is 16GB of RAM on board and it is not user-upgradeable. Similarly, the laptop features 256GB of NVMe M.2 SSD.Users can choose between four different performance modes – Performance, Balanced, Cool, and Quiet. For better thermals, HP has included a thermopile sensor, dual-fan setup, and heat pipes on the laptop.

Similarly, this laptop is fueled by a four-celled 63.3 Watt-Hour Li-ion polymer battery. HP ships it with a 135W Smart AC power adapter. The dual-speaker setup on the HP Envy 14 is custom-tuned by Bang & Olufsen. Talking about ports, the HP Envy 14 has one Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, two SuperSpeed USB Type-A ports, a microSD card reader, an HDMI 2.0a port, and an adapter plug. In terms of wireless connectivity, the laptop has a combo of Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 and Bluetooth 5.Moreover, it also comes with cool sets of features including the HP Display Control, HP QuickDrop, and Network Booster.
