Hisense has now launched the world's first smartphones with colored E-ink displays. The recently launched A5C and A5 Pro CC, which use the latest leap in the E-ink technology. Alongside the two smartphones, Hisense has also launched the Hisense Q5 Tablet that also features a monochrome display. Let's take a look at the specs of all the Hisense E-ink devices and learn what makes them different from other smartphones out in the market.

Hisense A5 Pro CC Overview
The A5 Pro CC is an upgrade to last year's Hisense A5. The most significant change has been in the display - A5 Pro features a 5.84-inch E-ink display that supports a total of 4096 colors. The E-ink displays are widely used in the electronic e-book readers cause they resemble paper prints. They don't use any kind of backlit system as in LCD systems. Traditional E-ink display could only display Black and White; however, with the introduction of Advanced Color ePaper (ACEP), they are now capable of viewing up to 4096 colors. The E-ink display has a low refresh rate and isn't suitable for anything other than reading e-books. On the back, there is a single 13MP camera with an LED flash. On the front, there is a 5MP selfie camera.It is powered by the UNISOC Tiger T610 processor and has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage at disposal. There is also a 6GB/128GB variant. Storage is expandable via a microSD card. The phone relies on a 4,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging through USB Type-C port. Hisense A5C Overview
Hisense A5C features the same design, but Qualcomm's Snapdragon 439 processor powers it. It is also available in 4GB/64GB memory configuration. The A5s comes with 4G connectivity. Hisense Q5 Tablet features a 10.5-inch monochrome display. The screen has an HD resolution and an aspect ratio of 16:9. The RLCD display works on the principle of reflection of lights and, thus, doesn't produce any harmful rays. The screen is inside a plastic body that has a metallic grey finish to it.It is powered by the UNISOC Tiger T610 processor that is paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It comes with a triple card slot (dual sim + MicroSD card). There is a 5MP camera on the back, and a 2MP selfie camera resides on the front. The device includes a 5050mAh battery, which supports 10W charging through a USB 2.0 port. For connectivity, it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and HDMI port. It runs on Android 10 and supports 4G LTE.

Hisense A5 Pro CC is available for pre-order in China with a price of 1799 Yuan for a 4/64GB variant and 1999 Yuan for 6GB/128GB. Similarly, Hisense A5C and Q5 Tablet are available for 1699 Yuan and 2299 Yuan, respectively.
