DJI seems to be taking the market by storm. With one great device after another, DJI's even moving into the action camera territory. Their
DJI Osmo Action was a legit competitor to the GoPro, even if it was their first action camera! But DJI is mostly known for drones and gimbals, though. And their latest mobile gimbal, the
DJI Osmo Mobile 3 makes a great case for itself.

DJI Osmo Mobile 3 is the 3rd generation of its handheld smartphone stabilizers. This one comes as an improvement over the DJI Osmo Mobile 2, and with some handy extra features. The first of which, is that the Osmo Mobile 3 can fold into half, for easier packaging.Even in terms of aesthetics, the DJI Osmo Mobile 3 is more compact. It's shorter and smaller than its predecessors. This makes it easier to carry for longer periods of time. But even though it is smaller, it doesn't compromise on the features. It packs all the features of the Osmo Mobile 2 and more.
Starting from the design, its design makes it possible to access the ports to charge the phone or
hook an external microphone, which was a bit of a hassle on the Osmo Mobile 2. The
Active Track feature, DJI's computer vision tracking system is also there on this one, to help you capture moving targets. In addition, it adds options like
Timelapse, Hyperlapse, Panorama, Gesture Control, and a
Story Mode. The Story Mode is a new feature that automatically edits footages, handy for beginners. It lets you apply a template of your choice and turn the video into an edited short clip with music and everything. However, for all of this, you have to use the
DJI Mimo app.DJI also says that most of the improvements come from users' feedbacks and complaints. And due to users' complaints, DJI has brought the
smart switch feature here. This means that you can now quickly switch the smartphone's orientation from portrait to landscape (or vice versa). You just have to tap the "Mode" button three times, and it will rotate itself. And even though the gimbal is smaller, the battery life is the same 15 hours, which is good enough. And this time, charging takes place via USB-C.This DJI Osmo Mobile 3
costs $119 and is available on DJI's official web-store. Also, for $20 more, you can get the tripod as well.
