We all know how drones have been in hype in recent years with the prospect of aerial delivery of your goods. With that same thing in mind, DJI has now launched the FlyCart 30 with Cargo Mode and Winch Mode. In this article, we will discuss the DJI FlyCart 30 in further detail.
DJI FlyCart 30 Overview
Design and Controls
The DJI FlyCart 30 comes in a foldable four-arm design with a maximum diagonal wheelbase of 2,200 mm. Similarly, it features foldable double-blade carbon fibre composite propellers and eight rotors. Meanwhile, the motors here offer a maximum power of 4000W per rotor and a KV value of 48 rpm/V. Additionally, the DJI FlyCart 30 features a cargo case made of EPP plus an aluminium alloy frame as well as a square nylon parachute of approximately 22 sq.m surface area. The entire package comes with IP55 ingress and water resistance. For controls, we are getting a DJI RC Plus remote controller and DJI Pilot 2 app. The remote also features an IP54 rating and comes with a 7.02-inch touchscreen with an LCD panel. It also supports dual operator mode while offering wireless connectivity through WiFi 6 and Bluetooth v5.1 combo. This remote is capable of 3.3 hours of usage with a built-in battery. You get an additional 2.7 hours of usage with an external battery.
Drone Hardware
Firstly, the DJI FlyCart 30 comes with a full HD FPV single-axis gimbal camera offering 1,920 x 1,440 resolution, 149° DFOV, and 30fps frame rate. Secondly, it features a binocular vision system with 90° horizontal and 106° vertical field-of-view. Furthermore, it is equipped with front and rear phased array radars as well. All these hardware work in tandem to offer multidirectional obstacle sensing.Lastly, the DJI FlyCart 30 comes with DJI DB2000 intelligent batteries with 38,000 mAh capacity. These batteries weigh about 11.30kg and the drone can be equipped with two of them at once taking the drone's weight to 65kg.
Equipped with all the specs, the DJI FlyCart 30 offers up to 6,000 metres of maximum flight altitude while topping at travelling speeds of up to 20 m/s horizontally. Moreover, this drone can carry a maximum load of 30kg over a distance of 16km on dual battery mode. Meanwhile, in the single-battery mode, the FlyCart can travel 8km with 40kg of load. This drone can deliver your goods in two modes Cargo Mode and Winch Mode. For cargo mode, you load the drone's case with goods. Whereas in Winch Mode, you get a 20-metre auto-retracting cable with intelligent adjustment to minimise cargo swing and improve stability. Other than that, the DJI FlyCart 30 can transmit videos over 20 km with DJI O3 image transmission. You also get an option to enhance the video transmission through 4G.
