In this article, we have listed our picks for the best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal in 2023. The mid-range smartphone market is probably the most competitive in many countries including Nepal. While most of us may not be economically able to purchase a flagship device, we're fortunate enough since mid-range phones have gotten so good these days. However, the 25K market is a little bit of an oddball. Spend just a little more and you can choose from some of the best mid-rangers, save up a little and you go home with one of the best budget smartphones. Nevertheless, there are plenty of good options under this category. Let's look at the best mobile phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal.
Note: In this list, we have also included a few smartphones that cost more than NPR 25000 — but not by a lot. We’ve done this so that you can further curate your choices, and also because we don’t want you to miss any good deal by spending NPR 500 – 1000 more. The prices of such products are marked with an asterisk (*) at the end. |
How to choose the best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal?
For the best price-to-productivity ratio from a phone under NPR 25000 in Nepal, you should at least expect a Full HD IPS panel or even Super AMOLED. Similarly, the latest Snapdragon 600 series or MediaTek's Helio/Dimensity lineup of chipsets should yield respectable performance on these phones.Furthermore, if you install a lot of games and click a lot of photos, 128GB of storage should be a bare minimum. For the battery, 5000mAh or more will usually deliver excellent endurance. However, try to get one with fast charging support and a USB-C port. With that out of the way, let's check out the best phones under NPR 25000 you can buy in Nepal.
Best mobile phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal:
8. Motorola Moto G31
At number 8 on our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal is the
Motorola Moto G31. Although this phone launched in the global market in November 2021, it made its way to Nepal almost a year later only. But despite its age, the Moto G31 still has one unique aspect that most other phones on our list lack.Yes, I'm talking about the stock Android experience. If you're not a fan of heavy Android skins that most other smartphone makers go with and want a clean, bloatware-free version instead, then this phone delivers exactly that. Except for a few helpful Motorola tweaks here and there, the Moto G31's Android experience doesn't skew much from Google's vision. It originally ran on Android 11 but Motorola has already issued the Android 12 update for Moto G31.
OLED display
Getting to the display, the Moto G31 has a standard 6.4-inch OLED panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. The phone is also pretty lightweight at 181 grams thanks to the all-plastic housing, whereas Motorola says it has a water-repellent design as well.So it should survive against minor water splashes or drizzles but this in no way is fully water-sealed like your typical
IP-rated phones. Powering the Moto G31 is MediaTek's Helio G85 SoC. You get a triple camera array at the back here, including a 50MP primary lens, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro shooter. The selfie camera here is a 13MP unit housed inside a hole-punch cutout. Moto G31 gets its juice from a big 5000mAh battery, which unfortunately only supports a maximum of 10W charging.
Motorola Moto G31 Specifications:
- Display: 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G85 4G (12nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 4GB RAM, 64/128GB storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: Android 11 (upgradeable to Android 12)

- Front Camera: 13MP sensor (hole-punch)

7. Realme C55 / Narzo N55
Next up on our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal are a couple of Realme devices. Since the new
Narzo N55 is just a rebranded
Realme C55, we decided to pair these phones as a single entry. Anyway, the biggest highlight of these phones is their design. With their flat frames and curved edges complemented by a couple of attractive color options, the Realme C55 and Narzo N55 definitely punch above their weight when it comes to design. These are still quite big phones though, with a big 6.7-inch display. But since these are budget devices, after all, Realme has gone with an IPS panel instead of AMOLED. At least there's no compromise in terms of resolution or refresh rate. And one unique feature about this screen is that it supports something called "Mini Capsule".
A "Dynamic Island" clone
This is essentially a very weak copy of
iPhone 15's "Dynamic Island", which can show some key information like charging status, low battery alerts, step count, and some more around the hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera. But at the time of this writing, the Realme C55 and Narzo N55's Mini Capsule are limited to just charging animation for their big 5000mAh battery. As for performance, you get MediaTek's Helio G88 chip here, along with up to 8GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. With this, the phone can handle light everyday tasks just fine but don't expect anything more. In terms of cameras, these Realme phones bring a 64MP main camera and a useless 2MP depth sensor. And that primary camera actually takes pretty good photos in daylight conditions.
Realme C55 / Narzo N55 Specifications:
- Display: 6.72-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G88 4G (12nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 4/6/8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128GB storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: Realme UI 4.0 on top of Android 13
- Rear Camera: Dual (64MP primary, 2MP depth)
- Front Camera: 8MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou, USB-C, 4G LTE
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Magnetic induction, Light, Proximity
- Battery: 5000mAh with 33W charging (33W adapter inside the box)
- Price in Nepal:
- Realme C55: NPR 21,999 (6/64GB) | NPR 25,999* (8/128GB)

6. POCO M5
At number six on our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal is the
POCO M5. With its Helio G99 chip, this is one of the best value-for-money phones in this price bracket. And also among the best gaming phones in this segment. Based on a 6nm process, Helio G99 features 2x Cortex-A76 (@2.2 GHz) and 6x Cortex-A55 (@2.0 GHz) CPU and Mali-G57 GPU for smooth performance. In our test, this allowed for 40 fps gameplay on popular titles like PUBG Mobile and Apex Legends Mobile by tweaking the settings. Likewise, you can also enjoy high fps games like Alto’s Adventure on its 90Hz IPS display.Another highlight of the phone is the leather-like finish at the back. It is still made of plastic but the texture on the back gives it a premium feel. Considering it is a performance-first phone, the camera setup is not that bad either. You can take decent shots under lighting conditions but don't expect anything out of the ordinary. Moving on the phone is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging.
POCO M5 Specifications:
- Display: 6.58-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99 4G (6nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 64/128GB UFS 2.2 storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: MIUI 13 for POCO on top of Android 12
- Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
- Front Camera: 5MP sensor (teardrop notch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / Beidou, USB-C, 4G LTE

5. Samsung Galaxy A05s
Similarly, the fifth position in our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal goes to the Samsung Galaxy A05s. As the name implies, it is the successor to the
Galaxy A04s. It brings a 6.7-inch PLS LCD panel with a 90Hz refresh rate which is quite typical to see in this price bracket.
6nm processor
Here, Samsung has opted for efficiency rather than raw power by going with the Snapdragon 680 chipset. Based on a 6nm process, it is more power-efficient than many other chipsets but might not be the top choice for performance. So, it is not a phone for gamers. At the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary, 2MP macro, and a 2MP depth sensor. Upfront, there is a 13MP selfie shooter. Samsung Galaxy A05s gets its juice from a 5,000mAh battery, which supports up to 25W of super-fast charging. The battery life is great, thanks to the power-efficient chipset.Another notable feature is its large screen, which, together with the exceptional battery, makes the Samsung Galaxy A05s a great device for multimedia.
Samsung Galaxy A05s Specifications:
- Display: 6.7-inch PLS LCD screen, FHD+, 90Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 4G (6nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 4/6GB RAM, 64/128GB UFS storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: OneUI 5.0 on top of Android 13
- Rear Camera: Triple (50MP primary, 2MP depth, 2MP macro)
- Front Camera: 13MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB 2.0 Type-C
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Proximity, E-compass, 360 Ambient Light

4. Infinix Note 30
Similarly, the
Infinix Note 30 also finds a spot on our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal. This design-first phone has quite an attractive look, we must say. You can either get it with a glass back or one with a leather-like finish, and all of them feature a boxy design with flat frames.Design aside, the Infinix Note 30's display is quite nice too. An AMOLED panel would've been nicer actually, but its tall 6.7-inch IPS panel is one of the nicer ones we've seen in this category. After all, it's got a smooth 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, while it also has TUV Rheinland-certified "Eye-care Mode" for protection against harmful blue light emission.
Great performance
Infinix Note 30 brings top-notch performance too. With the same Helio G99 chip as the POCO M5 above, casual everyday performance and even gaming are not going to be a problem here. Interestingly enough, it also supports bypass charging so that the phone doesn't get that hot when you're gaming with the charger plugged in. And it's good for battery health too.The company's custom Android skin, called "XOS" has also gotten a lot cleaner and refined over the years. Pair that with its stereo speakers, decent battery backup, and a pretty capable 64MP primary camera, the Infinix Note 30 makes for a compelling midrange smartphone.
Infinix Note 30 Specifications:
- Display: 6.78-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99 4G (6nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 8GB LPDDR4 RAM, 128/256GB UFS storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: XOS 13 on top of Android 13
- Rear Camera: Triple (64MP primary, 2MP depth, QVGA sensor)
- Front Camera: 16MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C, NFC
- Sensors: Accelerometer, E-compass, Gyroscope, Light, Proximity

3. Tecno Pova 5
Here, the
Tecno Pova 5 is pretty similar to the Infinix Note 30. This is also a big phone with a tall display and a MediaTek Helio G99 chip. And even though it's got a larger 6000mAh battery compared to the Note 30's 5000mAh cell, these two phones weigh pretty much the same. 219 grams. But the reason the Tecno Pova 5 takes the bronze medal on our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal is because of its value for money. Available in a single 8GB RAM with 128GB storage configuration, it sells for just NPR 20,990. Of course, you're getting double the storage with the Infinix Note 30 when paying NPR 3,000 more but 128GB is gonna be just fine for most folks. Its gaming performance is also pretty sweet as it can handle games like PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty, and Mobile Legends just fine. As aforementioned, the Pova 5 uses the same Helio G99 processor but its cooling system is what stands out the most.
A big phone
Then again, such impressive thermals come at the cost of a bulky build quality since this thing is 9mm thick! So if you're not a fan of such massive phones, the Pova 5 is going to disappoint. As for cameras, Tecno has given a 50MP primary and a useless auxiliary sensor here at the back, while there's an 8MP selfie shooter inside the hole-punch cutout on the display.
Tecno Pova 5 Specifications:
- Display: 6.78-inch IPS LCD screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G99 4G (6nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: HiOS 13 on top of Android 13
- Rear Camera: Dual (50MP primary, auxiliary lens)
- Front Camera: 8MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (side-mounted)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB-C, NFC, 4G LTE
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light and distance, E-compass, Gyroscope

2. Tecno Camon 20
So if you prefer a more handy device instead, then the
Tecno Camon 20 is among the best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal. It's reasonably slim at 7.8mm while weighing in the ballpark of 190 grams. On top of this, the Camon 20 brings quite an attractive design too. Like the Infinix Note 30 above, this guy is also available with a glass or a leather-like finish at the back. The best part is that it is even IP53-certified against dust and minor water splashes for better peace of mind. Up front, you're looking at a gorgeous AMOLED panel with an FHD resolution. The Camon 20 would've been absolutely fantastic if Tecno had given a high refresh rate display but as things stand, it's got a standard 60Hz refresh rate only.
Helio G85 chip
With MediaTek's Helio G85 processor, there's not much to expect on the gaming front. But we found it to be capable enough to get us through our everyday chores. Especially since Tecno has been so generous with the memory configuration here as it boasts 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Its battery life is also nice, whereas the Camon 20's camera performance isn't that bad either. Both the 64MP primary and 32MP front cameras take good-looking photos when there's enough light. The videography side of things could've been better but overall, the Tecno Camon 20 is a well-rounded phone for the price.
Tecno Camon 20 Specifications:
- Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 60Hz refresh rate
- Chipset: MediaTek Helio G85 4G (12nm mobile platform)
- Memory: 8GB RAM, 256GB storage (expandable)
- Software & UI: HiOS 13 on top of Android 13
- Rear Camera: Triple (64MP primary, 2MP depth, QVGA lens)
- Front Camera: 32MP sensor (hole-punch)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor (optical in-display)
- Connectivity: Dual-SIM (Nano), WiFi 5 (Dual-band), Bluetooth, GPS / AGPS / Glonass / Galileo / BDS, USB-C, 4G LTE
- Sensors: Accelerometer, Ambient light and distance, E-compass

1. Redmi Note 13 4G
Now, the coveted gold medal on our list of best phones under NPR 25000 in Nepal goes to the newly launched
Redmi Note 13 4G. Even though, you get the same 6nm fabbed Snapdragon 685 chipset, the main camera is now bumped into 108MP from 50MP. While Redmi has retained the 8MP ultrawide and 2MP macro sensors. Its octa-core CPU consists of the same 4x Cortex-A73 and 4x Cortex-A53 CPUs. Besides the chipset itself, Redmi Note 12 4G also runs on the same
MIUI 14 (Android 13).
120Hz AMOLED display
The display side of things has gotten a neat upgrade as well, especially in terms of visuals. The bezels are now trimmed well and it looks nice. The refresh rate is still 120Hz. Other than this, Redmi Note 13 4G features a drastically different design language. Instead of curved side rails, it gets flat frames that look much more modern. The camera island also looks a lot less cluttered and organized here. Fueling the phone is the 5000mAh battery with 33W charging support.

- Display: 6.67-inch AMOLED screen, FHD+, 120Hz refresh rate, Gorilla Glass 3
