Asus announced the world's first 17" folding laptop last year. It was launched in Nepal shortly but was not available in stock. However, Asus Nepal has once again made the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED available for purchase in Nepal. So, let's take a look at the specifications, features, availability, and official price of the Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED in Nepal.
Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED Overview:
Display, Design
Naturally, with a folding mechanism, the main focus of this laptop is its screen. A 17.3-inch OLED screen with a 2560x1920 pixel resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio, and 500 nits of brightness is on display here. You can fold the panel in half to make two 12.5-inch screens with a 3:2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels. This allows you to use it in various modes, much like a regular 2-in-1 device. In laptop mode, you can use half of the display as an actual screen and the other half as a keyboard. There is also a physical keyboard that can be paired with it to provide a more normal typing experience. Next, with the desktop mode, one can utilize the entire canvas with a Bluetooth-connected keyboard. With a 19.05mm key pitch and 1.4mm key travel distance, Asus claims this is its best laptop keyboard ever. You also get an extended mode in which the display is laid vertically and partially folded to maximize vertical screen real estate. You can also use it as a tablet by holding the device like a book.
Besides the display, the design is worth spending a few moments reading as well. The ZenBook 17 Fold weighs only 1.5kg and features a magnesium alloy chassis and a glass panel on the back with an etched Asus logo. The brand claims that the hinge has been tested for over 30,000 open-and-close cycles. Even if you fold and unfold the laptop 15 times per day, this will last for five years. There aren't many ports, which is considerable for such a small and foldable laptop. There are two Thunderbolt 4 ports and a headphone jack here.
Performance
On to the performance, it is powered by an Alder Lake U-series processor designed for ultra-thin devices. You get an Intel Core i7-1250U processor with 10 (2P, 8E) cores and a Turbo Boost clock speed of 4.70GHz. Memory configuration includes 16GB of soldered LPDDR5 RAM, and 1TB of PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 storage. Unsurprisingly, it boots on Windows 11.
Rest of the specs
Furthermore, the ZenBook 17 Fold has a 75Whr battery, which is already better than most ultrabooks on the market. Asus claims up to 9 and a half hours of screen-on time with this. It charges with a 65W adapter via the Thunderbolt 4 port.
Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED Price in Nepal and Availability
The price of the Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED laptop is Rs. 555,555 for the sole Intel Core i7 variant with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. You can buy Asus ZenBook 17 Fold OLED from Nagmani International in Nepal.
